Huntington

Evryhing from around and above Huntington.

Packed in to Idaho Lake. Awesome bouldering around lake. The gully to the east has some good lines and the walls above to south by the ridge have some stellar splitters I hope to return to some day.

There is also Wilderness Wall on the ridge above Kaiser road below the rest stop bathrooms. A few lines have been done, one pitch stuff.

awesome! There is a short wall just barely East of Camp Kern (located on the South side of the lake?) that has been traditionally used by the Scouts to teach rock climbing since at least the early1980s.

I have been to that Munge. That was actually the very first time I was roped up as a kid. Was there for a camp and they roped us up and fireman belayed us down the rock. No climbing just rapping but we thought we were so cool and tuff. Hahaha

I spent a week at Camp Oljato (just east of Camp Kern) with a troop 4 years ago, and several boys took the Climbing merit badge at that tiny crag.
Small world! I bouldered a bit around camp, but didn't rope up there.

Camp Oljato pew pew pew
It wreaks everywhere
If you have to take a leak
take it anywhere

Patrol yells have changed over the years.  :-X  :)

Even though we yelled that stuff, we always stopped at their camp store for soda and candy on the way to the overnight backpack camps. lol

Saw a video post of someone driving up Kaiser Road over the weekend to the pass and there was 4'-5' snow banks on the sides. I Also saw a post from Vermillion Resort at Edison; With the recent heat and melt off, Edison raised 4-5' in one night even with the damn wide open. All the rivers and creeks will be FLOWING.
