Morning all, went up to The Balls yesterday and made it to the Norris Bridge which is gone do to the fire, and with the Chiquito bridge by Globe Rock still not finished, going to be hard getting to The Balls area this year! Been climbing a bit at Mammoth Pools Reservoir and they will not letting boats on the lake and heard that when they close the gate to on May 1 they will keep it closed all season? Last weekend saw people camping at the gate 6s66 going up to Gray Eagle area even tho the gate is closed! Any of the rock that was in the fire and got super heat blistered and flaked like potatoes clips! Any area with steep trains to the base of climbs, gone with loose ground and ash making areas set up for big impact with foot traffic going to the base of all crags in the fire zone! The road to Fuller camping here is in good shape and can get there and the camp area has some green trees still standing! The train going up to Chiquito Dome gone but if you know where the old trail was not hard to find your way up to the base of the dome and at the base of the dome still green trees standing!
