Pure coolness with weird inclusions.

Or granite.

These are "waterfalls" of quartz on Big Sleep. Very slick under the shoes too.

I recognize the formation in your first shot from an old b/w photo I found online once - taken just north or northwest of the summit of Disappearing. Neat weathering.

We called it "Pudgy Penis Pinnicle" and always wanted to climb it. Someone put 3 bolts on it 2 years ago so maybe abandoned? It is by Disappearing Dome.

Jerry, how tall is that pinnacle? Looks totally grainy, no?

It looks grainy but it is actually really cool rock, featured and solid as far as I could tell. It's about 60' tall.

That's neat, Jerry. Here is a little obscure arch at the Balls. Big enough to walk under, I seem to recall.

Hah! Well, this one got finished this weekend. 5.8. I'll tell you more if interested. The end of the 2nd pitch is a little run for my taste, and I'd like to go back to do it again and probably add one bolt up there. Otherwise, it's just a really fun route. 2nd pitch above the boot is like the melting wall.

This one made me think of "Where the Wild Things Are." Looks like a friendly character from that book.

Susan that last one looks like a turtle's head. Love this thread. Going to have to keep my eye out now.
