Ok, deal!

Did John tell you to say that? I knew I liked that guy for a reason.

$250 a night and no electricity? I'll take sleeping in the truck wherever I want any day.

My folks had a cabin when I was growing up. It was great and I loved the place but as soon as they were gone, my brother and I sold it. Cons:

1) It was 900 miles away in northern Idaho.

2) If you own a cabin, that is where you go and pretty much no place else.

3) Even more toilets to keep working, roofs to maintain, wood to paint. etc.

4) The people who share wells, roads and septic tanks are insufferable B-holes.

For many years I have been tempted by those cabins up on Beasore. It would be very cool to own one but renting is probably a far better option. I'm with John on this one, the lighter you travel, the better it is and the more mobile you are. .

Sweet, two less competitors for the calendar. Muahahaha

Some of us with spouses allergic to mosquitos like having indoor cooking options from time to time. :)

I am such a sucker for a log cabin, I'd take all the b.s. that comes along with it. Except forest fire. Shivers me timbers.

I could write a check for it and rent it to you guys - special rate if you can scrape and paint.

I think log cabins are cool too. I've always wanted to build a real one with dovetail joints. Keep your eye out for some acreage with enough trees. If I buy it, you all have to promise to work on it. Last week Dr Spin at Stanford (yes that's his name) says that for the rest of my life I am not supposed to lift more than 50 lbs so you guys will have to do the lifting.

I broke the 50 lb rule when a new pool heater arrived yesterday.

How about a trade... a goat, 2 six packs of bud light lime I've left in the garage for a year, and an old bonatti carabiner?   :o

Doc didn't say you couldn't use mechanical advantage to lift the 50, so you got that going for you!  ;)

Honestly, having done a lot of work on a place already, I'm perfectly ok renting without the labor. :)

Munge, I like goats. I've eaten a lot of them in Greece, Egypt, Nepal, India and the good old USA. I am not a vegetarian. If we aren't supposed to eat animals, why did they make them out of food?
