Where's everyone climbing these days with all the smoke? Miss going to the mountains and finding pristine skies.

I did my climbing in Mammoth, on a bicycle today. Ugh, i need to train if I'm going to do this stuff. I used to do the Deathride, 129 miles + 16,000' of climbing. Today was a measly 72 miles and 3600' of climbing and it hurt. I guess a couple 15 mile bike rides isn't enough training at my age. Talk about butt hurt.

dude! it was bad air today. No wonder you felt it. Smoke from everywhere. Air quality boards saying don't over exert.   :o

Good climbing Dan, sounds like quite a day and a death ride in its own right given the smokey air. ! Hope it wasn't as smokey around Mammoth during your ride yesterday as I heard it was today.

Fresno Dome wasn't too bad for smoke Saturday but was surrounded in a thick fog-like smoke last night and most the day. Wonder how much of the smoke was from the Rough Fire and how much Tenaya. As we headed home, we saw a new fire in Oakhurst also.

Mike, that sounds like a great way to spend the last days of summer!

Munge, you are wise.
