Not down in Soyo, but I love the story about Leviathan from DMT and the finding of arrowheads, etc. and retossing them back out for the next climbing team to find.

I find them now and then. I found one near Starr King a couple years ago. Tossed it into some thick brush so nobody would pick it up.

yeah, best let them lay.

Pretty sweet you found one up by star king, that must have been WAY out there back then.

I have always wanted to find one but never have. Do you go out looking for them or just happen to spot them?

I found a beautiful spear point on top of the Third Pillar a number of years ago and another literally a few feet off Beasore Road at the start of the approach to the Sphinx just a few years ago. Usually I toss them back out of sight but these were so nice I gave them to Indian friends of mine.

Sweet Jerry!

Yeah, I found one in J-tree, on the outer loop of hidden valley road.

Pretty cool point.

I usually find them in sandy areas after winter or a storm has exposed them. Most people simply don't see things. when I was a kid in Idaho we used to practice seeing as much as we could when walking through the woods. It was what we did to become better hunters. Most people look at their feet and talk too much.

Dang Jerry, a spear point! That sounds much bigger than an arrow point. How big was it?

Here is about 1/100th of my fathers, mother in-laws collection from near Tulsa Oklahoma.

Impressive does not even describe the craftsmanship.

Oklahoma is probably a lot like Indiana where my wife is from. after farmers plow field, you see arrowhead hunters walking slowly around the furrows looking for anything that has been turned up. 10,000 years of people shooting arrows leaves quite a few heads lying around.

Hi John- both points I found were about 6" long and in perfect shape. Undoubtedly sheep hunters for the one on Dana Plateau

This last April I spent 4 days at Fresno Dome camp ground because we could only access it via Hawk Dome trail. They had done some work in the camp ground and we found chips everywhere. Never found complete points or heads but there has to be some there.
