site issue: does anyone else have to refresh the page?
« on: February 07, 2016, 11:20:53 am »
I have http://southernyosemiteclimbing.com/SMF/index.php bookmarked, but over the last several weeks I have to refresh the page to load the forum.

Happens on both PC and mobile devices.

I am having this problem too and am looking into it. Refresh works in the short term.

Hmm, we can't reach this page.

Try this
•Make sure you’ve got the right web address: http://southernyosemiteclimbing.com
•Refresh the page
•Search for what you want

almost every time I try to post. I don't think it's my Edge browser since no other SMF site is having this much trouble. thx

Try tapping your phone against a desktop a few times, hop on your left foot four times and then do a shot of your favorite booze. This won't fix shit but I giggle thinking of you actually doing this. Ha!!

Tempting, but gotta drive to office today.

I'll try it on Firefox later and see if I can repro and rule out the browser. Last time dumping session cookies had no effect.

For the record, the site has been blanking out for quite a while when I attempt to log in or click around and post too, and then pressing the back button then the forth button is usually successful.

Next issue was with my using a new computer as I couldn't login via the usual browser. So I tried to create a new account but could not because the security images wouldn't appear - you know, the images to align or letters to type in to prove you're not a robot.  The error page that would always show up stated that I had made too many attempts even if only one attempt was made.

Now I have found that I can log in with the new computer only with a different browser than usual.

Hoping the issues get resolved soon.

Ok, so hopefully things will be working more smoothly now for a while after a couple of attempted fixes.
