Swimming Hole
« on: August 13, 2016, 04:07:43 pm »
Anyone feel like sharing the location of the swimming hole near Fresno Dome? Is it perhaps on the North Fork of Willow Creek?
I would love to climb at Hawk Dome in the morning, and swimming in the afternoon heat

It's about a 1/4 mile past the short cut trail to hawk dome, you can see it on the left from the road, happy climbing Mike A.

I think a few beers at the hole at Lunesta will be in order.

Hi all, hope all you climbers had super fun holiday weekend, may or may not know about this swimming hole but to me it's one of the most fun of them all, 3 miles up Jackson rd behind the Tenaya lodge, 25' jump in to the pool below, it's called Jackson hole or skinny dip pool, mostly locals go there, been hanging out there a lot this summer, super fun makes you feel like a kid there, happy climbing Mike A,

sweet!!!  we enjoyed a swim downstream from the bridge in ??? Creek coming back from the balls several weeks ago, but had to clean up some trash.  The pools in the creek near Chiquito Dome at the free camping area is a winner too.

I wonder if you mean Portuguese Creek near the overlook at the Balls... Not so much of a swim spot as a nice splash spot. That's a pretty creek to hike up too.
