Got out to AHills with my sweet heart. Very civilized trip with Best Western hot showers and Seasons dinner and Alabama Hills Café Cinnamon Swirl French Toast. I do not think I lost any weight this trip.

But here are a couple pics from that trip...

Just started using watermarking for pics that I put on Flickr.

1.2 Mazillion tops.

At current exchange rates that is right around $4.00. :)

Left the evening of 4/19 to spend Friday - Sunday at the Hills. Ended up being about 10 of us total with 5 of us turning 45 this year and Adam's birthday Saturday. We scored the spot near DXM Wall (for those familiar) and got in a good amount of climbing. Always amazed at how gritty the rock is there.

Scouted around and went up a steep narrow gully on the left side of Rama-Lama-Ding-Dong. It has a cool hallway that stays shaded all day except about 45 min. Time to FA on 'Birthday Wall'.  Got a fun GU 7 bolt arete with a TR to the right, 2 cracks went all trad, 2 cracks needed 2x and 3x at the base, all with shunts for anchors. Adam and Andrew jumped on another "45 Wall" behind Birthday and did a couple more cracks. Placed a shared anchor with quick links. Climbs are 5.6-5.8+.

Tons of fun had, duck tacos a hit again, so much rock there to explore.

Spouse and I love going there. Not in the heat tho. Sounds like a productive trip!
