We need to try and stump the Monster with a harder one! No looking it up either, not that she needs to.

Cool, a thread with answers to all our flower questions!   Any ideas on this one?
I was near Willow Creek at the time, and also noticed this plant growing densely on hillsides.   (https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8831/18143159712_8382ca452d_z.jpg)

Ok, technically it is two, and not even in the SoYo region. First was around 4,500' in a lush water fed area on a dirt road. The second was in a burn area next to a dirt road, slightly higher in elevation.  This is one of my favorite flowers in the sierra because the color can be such a contrast to other plants nearby.

Thanks Jeff!   Even partly edible (according to the "internet").
I have a similar question as to munge's latest picture with the orange blossoms.
