I am curious if anyone has some modern topos of Fresno Dome/Hawk dome that they would be willing to share? I have a copy of the very old Spencer guide, but I was hoping I could find something a bit newer, and useful

Wingnut- I am working on new topos for Fresno Dome and can send you what I have. I am only "done" with Hawk Dome and South Pillar area and have crude notes for the rest. I would appreciate it if you gave me feedback and or info on any routes you may check out that I don't have details on. I can't climb everything you know? This offer goes out to anyone who asks and applies to all areas.

hi, it should be done from the printer next week, it looks pretty good with new stuff, and with me moving to oakhurst in six weeks or so, i will have lots of time to put up some more new stuff, and i have been looking at homes for sale on beasore road and grizzly road by the jones store and skyranch road"632" to buy, to have an vacation home by fresno dome or shuteye would be sweety!!!, i will post when the new book is really for sale, it will not be long, happy climbing mike a.

I am jealous Mike. Too cool to live up there. Is your new GB in the same fashion as previous. I have the others.
I went this last Friday for a quick run up up South Pillar with a couple guys. Can't ever get tired of that route and every time I climb it I place fewer pieces. Hahaha. Someday I will solo that sucker.
Temp was cold. 27 degrees just past Fresno Dome camp ground at about 0630. Made for a cold approach. Wind picked up but the sun was just enough to keep away the shivers. Sad to see just a little patch of snow in the meadow already.
Wingnut; I am out of Fresno and train at Metal Mark during the week before and after work. If you want to run up there let me know.

hi it's way better and looks way better then the old one, more info and pix, thanks for the invite may take you up on that, i know no one in oakhurst well except grahm doe, so i will need to make all new friends, would be psyched on climbing with all you southern yosemite climbers and psyched to check out the party in july at the big sleep area and meet the climbers who go up there on a regular bases, happy climbing mike a.

Any word on the road to the parking lot? Most of it should have melted off but that one area where the road swings toward the creek always is the last to melt.

Road is completely dry. Very few spots shady spots with snow in the area. Weather perfect on Sat.
