Do standard annual fire restrictions have a listed expiration date, or are they just standing until rescinded? I'm not 100%, but I don't feel like I've seen that before. Regardless, locked until December seems very late.

I feel like they have done that in the past when resources are spread thin. They typically have a bunch of technical data ultimately saying the forests are too dry but maybe it's a budget issue this year.

You can sit around the comfort of a hissing propane fire.

"Persons with a valid California Campfire Permit are not exempt from the prohibitions
listed above. However, persons with a valid California Campfire Permit may use a
portable campfire ring/pit, stove, or lantern in an area at least five feet from any
flammable materials provided that the portable campfire ring/pit, stove, or lantern
only burns gas, kerosene, jellied petroleum or pressurized liquid fuel, with a shut-off
valve."
