Climber Guilt
« on: August 14, 2019, 10:16:59 am »
Anyone experience it? Suppose we are all bound to, if heading away for the freedom of the hills so all the time inadvertently snubs loved ones. Just looking for support I guess, or should I have searched "Group Therapy for Survivors of Climber's Guilt?" Or "Climbing is a Mistress?" I know the only real cure is to let go and let be and/or sacrifice the time.

That's the curse of being nice people that everyone wants to hang with.

I don't have that problem. I do offer classes tho on "how to become the asshole that you are." Also the title of my new book.

Hahahaha.

Sue, I will say that I have gotten flack many times for being gone so much for climbing or hunting. My guilt usually lasts until I get a text about the next trip.

Tx guys. I hadn’t thought of it that way Munge. The bright side...

And yes Dave ain’t it the truth.

I think there’s another solution to my plight but does mean less sleep etc. Not as severe a lack of sleep as I imagine Fred experienced on the FA last weekend. Sigh of relief. Oh I was really feeling like a caged animal for a little there.

If you buy a home on Beasore rd, the geographic distance makes the guilt easier. I assure you. Once that's done we can begin your course work. ;)
