Ha ha, a post! Not only one but a few, and some that gave a chuckle. Yay!

Yes Beasore would likely be a way to Loser Eagle instead of Lost (sorry, but it's a great name), imagining it's too snowy yet on the shady downslope over the Cold Springs summit. But we haven't been there yet this year so don't really know. Now you've gone and made me very curious! Maybe see you then. Maybe help haul each other out of a pit.

Going Minarets to Grizzly, I bet it is dry all the way to the dirt road turn off, then socked in with snow in the shade of the forest, and/or full of mucky puddles. We've felt bad about making a rut deeper on one road and try to refrain from doing that more. Done our time getting stuck in the snow, muck, behind fallen trees. Still learning to be prepared.

Have fun! Maybe see you.

Current conditions are excellent though a little blustery. Should calm down Sunday. So nice to be out here again.

Count me in as a lurker... or lunker lurker waking from a long winter's nap.
Trying to peel off the couch and eventually make my way to Loser Eagle...

At least you all are doing it.

I confess, I climbed on subpar rock Saturday. I apologize.

Sign of the cross and 20 Hail Mary's, and you can do it all over again.

Chiquito can be a nice consolation prize/backup plan.

Minarets is open at Mammoth Pools turnoff and so is 7S02 to Big Sleep.

Snow still on Minarets a little ways past South Fork Trailhead turnoff. Grizzly still snowy South of Lost Eagle turnoff.

Mammoth Pools is closed for deer migration until June 15.

Still lots of snow on the East side of Shuteye Ridge.

Good to know. I haven't climbed anything since last summer at Tahoe.

I had to revoke my climbing merit badge for the time being.

I need to find some old fat people who want to go climb some easy poseur routes.

Big Sleep sounds perfect.

Got within about 200yrds of 7502M to Big Sleep. We were able to camp across the way. Only added 10 min to the walk.

That last stretch of snow before the turnoff just stays there forever. Glad you made it!
