Yes, Mile High.
You could tell somebody just stacked more garbage on top of an already full dumpster and didn't close the lid. The lids do have chains.

It goes up the arête on the right of the upper headwall/formation. half rack or less protects it fine, as I recall. what the heck was the name of this thing?

actually, a hot fire will seriously damage rock for climbing purposes... depending on heat and height of the fire.

I heard fire tends to seek weaknesses, so obviously the bolts next to cracks are going first.

Stonewall Peak, near Cuyamaca is a perfect example of how badly fire can damage the rock. Turned the first pitches of most the wall to kitty litter.

Then Alabama Hills must have had one whopper of a fire!

I would imagine that there were some unfortunate conditions to get a fire hot enough to alter the grain structure of the rock. I  once learned that Manzanita is one of the hottest burning wood in the sierras due to its extremely high density. The Native Americans found it to be the best wood to use for kilns for pottery.
