My daughters went to the Domincan Republic for two weeks on a mission trip with their youth group. I went with. I took a pair of climbing shoes in case the opportunity came up. Tried a few spots while we swam by the river but the rock was junk and broke off in your hands.
One of the days we hiked to a water fall called Salto de Jimenoa which was in the Jurrasic Park movie. At the base was some rocks I was able to play on. I was able to do several V0 and one V1. I am not much of a boulderer but had a blast. The landings were super sketch and I prob would have been carried out had I fallen on the V1.
D.R. is a beautiful place but I am glad to be back in the dry heat and looking forward to getting up into some real mountains. Ya'll have been busy in the last two weeks. Love it!
