See, this is the other part of the problem, and the trick is finding a balance.  How to inspire and stoke the psych, while at the same time not over inspiring.  Ah yes, you hit the nail on the head.  I have another dike I'd like to post pictures of (after I get them), but will need to decide if they'll act like a magnet.

For real. I remember not too long ago enjoying winter after winter in Yosemite Valley. John would laugh as he told other climbers how I would try to shush him from speaking so highly of climbing there through the winters. Thought it was the best kept secret - everyone thinking we were going off to a snowy Ansel Adams scene when it was typically springlike & beautiful west side. And look. Pretty darn busy nowadays. Not that it's John's fault of course. Ha ha...

Shuteye is getting sooooo much attention nowadays. Still fun to get lost out there though.

Can you elaborate on this, susu? Are you guys seeing or hearing about a lot of traffic up there?

This is a purely subjective statement. Grateful I will not have graphs, charts and data to supply on it. I can still count on one hand the number of people we've seen out there since last climbing season, not including those who were out with us. Just noticing posts and mentions across forums and how often we are asked about the area by acquaintances. We do not typically mention this site to acquaintances by the way. Again, this was just a very strong gut level feeling that the so called obscurities we are all thinking we are doing today are not going to remain so obscure for very long. Who knows.

Saw 5 cars at Dreamscape parking Sunday. Thin strong looking crew coming from the High Eagle direction at the end of the day.

Nice enough, but didn't get a chance to chat since we were orchestrating beer location and whether to stay up on the ridge as the storm was moving in.

So besides us, that seemed like a lot to me. But I'm a relative noob to the overall area.

John says I need to get out more often and visit other areas. :)

Well, there ya go. High Eagle parking area, Chiquito and Big Sleep parking are the areas I've ever noticed the most people... except a couple of times at LE.

It's Amy Strickling following on Snake crack at Piyau (good eye). Jon tends to tilt his camera a lot, but sometimes for cool effect.

That is a good eye on the Piyau shot. Now I see it.

The other must be Hidden area... or do I hear another big red buzzer go off.

There is the Courtesy Tilt which makes you look radder. Then there is the Tilt Of Shame where you look less so.

The little chasm is also near Piyau.

I want a red buzzer! Do you guys have one?

Oh, oh, did you hear that? Red buzzer going off again. Nate, I'd be happy to give you mine. :)
