Thanks Lars for the encouragement! Yes there are good people who feel for lost photos and turn them in as Lost & Found. We posted a bit more about it in hopes to find: Mt. Project, Bowler camp board, and inquired with Sierra Forest stations. Very few folks at the Balls at least last Friday night and part of Saturday probably especially due to the road closure last Monday, so thought there was a good chance we'd find it this last Friday.
Actually we met a very nice man the day we lost the camera, and he called himself Jerry 'the Jet'. He rapped his excellent rap lyrics to us of an El Cap ascent, made up his own words based on the Lose Yourself rap from 8-Mile. This when we were sitting in the dirt sharing photos after a great climbing day. The Jet was so fun and lively, and had stopping by looking for area climbing recommendations. He had a brand new cherry sprinter - perfect climber vehicle decked to the nines, excepting that you wouldn't want to take it off road for being too pretty and vulnerable to scratches. Anyway, I had hoped we might run into him, thinking maybe he could have found the camera the next day after we left, but could not find him this last weekend. He's one of those people one hopes to run into again at any rate.
Still bumming.... Had a whole bunch of photos of healthy Dudleya flowers for the resident Dudleya man, too. And shots of the Golden Toad to show the possible ways up the blocky section far right.
