Sorry for the late response! I liked it more than I expected I would, and was surprised at the depth of the history covered about some of the key players, though they certainly had to gloss over and omit many others. But they definitely seemed to pick the most entertaining or extreme stories. Lynn Hill is still so amazingly inspiring and although her accomplishments are familiar, she was a highlight in the film for me.
Yes, Honnold is always hard to watch. Saw it with a handful of non-climber coworkers and was very curious about their reactions and if they thought it made all climbers seem like law-breaking, high, dirtbag adrenaline junkies (certainly not the climbing world I've known...or really care to know). They didn't think so, and some were actually inspired to learn more or maybe get out there sometime and give the rocks a whirl, which surprised me.
