Hey Justin, welcome.
Man, the fire is right on the river. No wonder they are clearing the western camps. Do keep us informed if you don't mind.

Thanks for the welcomes. Took this driving home Tuesday from Auberry, the day after it started. The smoke comes down in the evenings and morning, then goes North in the afternoon. They've closed the gate past powerhouse 8. I did get to see shuteye on the way home today and it didn't look too bad smoke wise, in the big sleep and little shuteye areas. Anyone climbing up there should plan on going mid day and avoid the morning and evenings. More pics tonight or tomorrow.
Regards,
Justin

We definitely got a piece of that smoke up in the Dinkey area.

Really bad two nights ago. It moved in the middle of the night. Which makes you start thinking things when you smell smoke at that time of night.

I went back to sleep after coughing a lung.

Today was nice. Bummer had to come out today.

I was a little disappointed to learn that Grizzly Rd was closed too. Beasore Rd must be closed at some point if Minarets Rd is. Anyone?

Fire ban is lifted last week! Perfect timing for a celebratory campfire under a full moon last weekend.

Some Western lower-elevation areas around Bass Lake/North Fork and below Shaver Lake still under the ban.
