Tranquility Dome- Upper Approach
« on: March 25, 2013, 01:01:05 pm »
Putting a question out there to anyone who may have done the upper, rap-in approach to Tranquility Dome.

My question is, do you rap the left side where there are more trees or rap one of the routes?

We have done the lower approach and the poison oak is raising it's ugly head right now so it is getting way less appealing as it gets it's leaves. It is also really hard to describe it due to the lack of landmarks and therefore tricky to repeat the same path. The upper approach is really steep and committing since you can't really see where you are headed until you are headed there, so some details would help.

Thanks

John

These are some cool looking flaky blocks near the summit of Tranquility Dome. Beautiful colors in person, but our camera let us down.
