Road Construction to begin for two weeks on Minarets Road (FR81), Bass Lake Ranger District, Sierra National Forest
The Sierra National Forest would like to inform mountain community residents and visitors of a road construction project with partial closures/delays.
Road work will start this Friday, October 04, 2019 through Friday October 18, 2019.
There will be a traffic control plan in place to allow drivers to pass thru this area safely. We ask all drivers to slow down in the construction area, and beware of construction crews, and equipment.
Drivers should be able to pass thru the project site with minimal delays of up to 15 minutes at a time.
On Monday October 07, 2019 due to the use of special equipment the road will be closed from 9:00 to 10:00 am. Please plan accordingly, if you plan to travel during this time frame.
Attached please find a map of where the construction project will take place. For more information on this project and its impact contact Pablo Gonzalez, Sierra National Forest Roads Manager at 559-392-0423.

The USFS alert makes it sound like the whole road will be shut down but I think it is just one spot.
