Starting to brew with Paulie. Most likely going Thursday night of Friday morning. Full moon ascent will be on Friday night. Climb all day Saturday and the big gathering and gift exchange ($15 minimum) will be that evening. Hopefully the meat bees will not be bad this year.

Hope to see some of you there this weekend. Weather will be nice and cool. Paul will have his Rockie's Rye IPA and Shady Belay Brown and I picked up the shirts which turned out good. Looking forward to it.

Got word we will be able to make it to the trail head or VERY close to it. Looking to camp at the trail head instead of the the CG.

We saw a group looking happily camped shy of the trailhead last weekend, but I don't imagine that would be enough room for a sizeable group. You couldn't actually walk in on the normal trail up there yet because it was a stream, or at least we couldn't get on it without getting wet. We parked outside the usual trailhead parking area because it's all snowy or sopping in there. To the far right we hiked in on long trees that had fallen almost perfectly and kept mostly off the muck, then gained the partially snow covered, fallen trees & needles strewn trail, which wouldn't be that hard to get a little lost on.

Surprised there was no camp host yet at the campground and would be surprised if there is still none, being after MemDay. But maybe.... :)

See you up there. We are going to take a look at the trailhead first and climb tomorrow. If it doesn't look like we can camp there then we will be back there at that spot in the evening.

DT & not sure who you were climbing with - Paul?

Another view from camp - so cool to see that seasonal stream going

Been meaning to post photos all week! Thank you DaveyTree for gathering a great group! We had fun even though it was a bit of a gray weekend except for Saturday late in the day.
